William H. Bryan III, Esq., graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies. In his junior year at Columbia University, Mr. Bryan attended the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras as an exchange student. Mr. Bryan graduated from Yale Law School in May, 1994, where he served as an Executive Editor for the Yale Journal on Regulation.


In April, 1995, Mr. Bryan was admitted to the Florida Bar. Mr. Bryan started his legal career as an associate at the law firm of White & Case, LLP, Miami, Florida, in the international business transactions department. Approximately two years later, Mr. Bryan moved to the law firm of Steel, Hector & Davis, LLP, Miami, Florida, where Mr. Bryan served as an associate in the white collar criminal defense division. At Steel, Hector & Davis, Mr. Bryan defended corporate clients and/or their corporate officers/directors in connection with various criminal investigations and/or regulatory compliance issues. Corporate clients served included a paramount international airline, a paramount international securities brokerage firm, a chemical manufacturer, a paramount real estate developer, a pest control company, and an import/export company.

In May, 1998, Mr. Bryan joined the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney in Orlando, Florida. Throughout his tenure in the Orlando office, Mr. Bryan was assigned to the general crimes division, where he defendd a various types of criminal cases, including drug trafficking, firearms violations, bank robberies, bank fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, credit card fraud, access device fraud, social security fraud, government contract kickback, mail theft, counterfeit currency and immigration offenses. Mr. Bryan also served as an instructor for law enforcement officers of the National Park Service during their basic criminal law training.

In November, 1999, Mr. Bryan transferred to the Office of the United States Attorney in Miami where Mr. Bryan was assigned to the Narcotics Section. In September, 2005, Mr. Bryan joined the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Unit of the Narcotics Section in Miami, where he remained as an Assistant United States Attorney until his departure in March, 2008. Throughout his tenure at the United States Attorney's Office in Miami, Mr. Bryan coordinated and supervised numerous international and multi-jurisdictional drug-trafficking and money-laundering investigations, to include the countries of Spain, the Netherlands, Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, the Netherlands Antilles (Curacao), Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Peru, Jamaica, Trinidad, the Cayman Islands, and the Isle of Mann. In connection with those investigations, Mr. Bryan has conducted numerous complex Federal Grand Jury investigations, and coordinated with foreign governments regarding international investigations, provisional arrests in foreign countries, and the extradition of foreign nationals from foreign countries. During his tenure with HIDTA, Mr. Bryan served as Acting Deputy Chief on several occasions, wherein he was entrusted with management of the HIDTA Unit. In 2004, Mr. Bryan was awarded the coveted Florida Law Enforcement Officer Foundation Prosecutor of the Year Award for his leadership in the prosecution of a complex international drug-trafficking and money laundering organization.

Mr. Bryan also participated as an instructor in the Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance, and Training (OPDAT) Program, a project initiated by the United States Department of Justice to assist foreign countries in converting their respective criminal justice systems to resemble the United States' accusatory criminal justice system. As an OPDAT instructor, Mr. Bryan provided trial advocacy education and training in Spanish to Colombian national prosecutors in various cities throughout Colombia.
